Water security for Namibia

Reddrok supplies Namibia with the same systems as South Africa: atmospheric water generators from 20 to 20,000 litres a day, with the storage and treatment around them.

Why it fits

A dry country with wet air on its coast

Namibia is one of the driest countries in Africa, and much of it lives far from a reliable pipe. Water made from the air needs no pipeline and no aquifer, only power, which can come from the sun.

Along the coast the air is often humid and foggy, which suits an atmospheric water generator well. Inland the air is drier, so we size the machine and its storage on the site’s own climate.

  • Lodges, camps and farms far from a municipal supply
  • Mines and construction sites with crews to keep supplied
  • Coastal homes, businesses and towns
  • Schools and clinics that need drinking water to keep flowing

Questions

Namibia: common questions

Does Reddrok supply atmospheric water generators in Namibia?

Yes. Reddrok serves South Africa, Namibia and Australia, and has a Managing Partner Namibia.

Does an atmospheric water generator work at the Namibian coast?

Yes. Output rises with temperature and humidity, and the humid coastal air suits water from the air well.

Can it work off-grid at a lodge or farm?

Yes. Solar energy can power the units for off-grid operation; we size the panels and storage together with the machine.
