Water from the air, at the scale of a site

Aetherion plants make from 250 to 20,000 litres of drinking water a day, for sites that cannot wait for the municipal supply to come back.

Who it is for

Sites that need their own drinking water

Light commercial and industrial sites are usually served by the 100L to 500L range, and utility, municipal or mass-supply applications by the 1,000L to 20,000L plants. Each runs independently of the municipal supply or a borehole, which is what makes it useful during outages, restrictions or Day Zero style shortages.

  • Schools and campuses that must keep drinking water on through an outage
  • Hospitals, clinics and care homes
  • Farms, game lodges and remote camps far from a reliable supply
  • Mines, factories and construction sites with crews to keep supplied
  • Hotels, resorts and residential estates
  • Municipalities and water-stressed towns that need water without a new pipeline

Planning

How a site system is planned

A plant is one part of the system. We plan the rest around it, so the water is made, kept and checked as one.

  1. Daily volume: the drinking and cooking water the site uses, with room to grow.
  2. Climate: the site’s temperature and humidity through the year, which set the real output.
  3. Power: a three-phase supply from the A250L up, and whether solar will carry part of it.
  4. Storage: tanks sized so water is ready when demand peaks, kept potable with a germicidal UV tank lamp.
  5. Monitoring and service: smart tank management to watch levels and quality, and a service plan for the filters and UV.

Questions

Commercial systems: common questions

What is the largest atmospheric water generator you supply?

The Aetherion A20000L, at about 20,000 litres a day. Larger volumes are met by running several plants side by side.

Do commercial atmospheric water generators need three-phase power?

From the A250L up, yes: the plants run on a 380 V three-phase supply. The A100L and the domestic units run on single-phase power.

Does an atmospheric water generator replace a borehole or municipal water?

It can supply drinking water independently of both. Most sites run it alongside existing supply for potable water, with stored municipal or borehole water handling non-drinking use.

How is the water kept safe once it is stored?

Each plant filters, sterilises with UV and mineralises its water. In storage, a germicidal UV tank lamp keeps tank water potable without dosing chemicals.

Can a commercial plant run on solar?

Yes. Solar energy can power the units for off-grid operation; we size the solar and storage with the plant. See the running costs per model on our costs guide.
